Friday Night Lights got all holy on us

The first season I LOVED and so did many critics. Season 2, not so much. It seems this show has become more of an after school special proclaiming "Jesus Saves" rather than what once seemed like a really juicy, well-produced Lifetime series. I'm sad.

The good shows, they die young...

Agreed, seems to have lost its direction Lyla's salvation, Tim's "devotion" and the "miracle" of Jason's baby, where's the football?

That's so Billy Joel of you, Jay. Of course, if the BIlly Joel song Only The Good Die Young were applied to TV, he'd rather laugh with the sinners (aka Two and Half Men) then die with the die with the saints (aka FNL).

Also, I think the second season of FNL got better the last few episodes and was picking up momentum, but people's desire for fare compensation put a stop to that. Thanks Writer's Strike.

Aw, c'mon, who doesn't love watching Riggins hanging out in the pews in a desperate attempt to win over the love of his life? Cheesy, maybe, but some might say endearing. And regardless, given that he continues to look incredibly hot in every episode, I mean, what else matters??
