I totally should've thought of my fellow TIVO and DVR users. I DVR ALOT, and I know how much it sucks when someone - accidently or not - spoils the end of a show you are really looking forward to watching and seeing the ending of for yourself. Again - I'm sorry and it won't happen again. Please forgive me loglady!

so i've finally gotten around to watching this finale and i really have to say that i'm surprised.

everything that the judges were saying seemed to point to their selecting anya, not to mention that her photos were better in many of the shoots.

that said, i understand WHY tyrant chose whitney, but i disagree. in light of the new photos (perhaps current, perhaps pre-antm) of whitney that are on the interwebs it points to one of two things:

1. the rumors about whitney gaining weight to get on the show might be true, thereby making many of her background stories about how hard she had it growing up less than true.

2. since the show she's lost a bunch of weight, invalidating why she was chosen as the winner.

either option is no good and leaves a bad taste in my mouth...

I agree - it DID seem that they were going to pick Anya over Whitney during the deliberation. Truthfully, I wouldve been happy if either one of them had one. (Just not Fatima - I really didnt like her at all.)
Wow - I hadnt heard any of this stuff about Whitney now! If it's all true, then that SUCKS & Anya SHOULDVE won! You never can tell with these "reality/game" shows anymore. There's always the potential for let-down when they're over and all the REAL reality of certian people and/or situatuins come out. I admit that I can TOTALLY get sucked into my favorite reality/game shows. I guess we all need to watch with a grain of salt & remember that it's all for entertainment in the end.
So unless it was a typo - I couldnt help noticing that you, loglady, spelled Tyra "tyrant". Can I assume that you dont like the woman?

it's not that i don't like tyra...watching that finale though it became really apparent that there was no need for 4 judges, just what tyra thinks is important...of course it is her show and all....

i am very interested to see how things work out w/this whitney story....i had heard rumors prior to the show that she'd gained weight just to get on there (having tried out before and being cut for just being average pretty)...she certainly is more striking as a full figured model than her other itineration....we'll see what happens....

The reason I asked about Tyra is because I used to really like her when I first started to watch Top Model. (I came in with season 3 at a good friends recommendaton. Have always been glad I did. I DO like the show.) However, the longer I watch, the more "fake" she seems to me. I dont know.... And is it me or does she LOVE to compare the contestents to herself in her heyday? In my opinion, that's just an excuse for her to show more old pic.'s of herself. What's your opinion on the whole "Tyra being fake" thing?

i really think that the more she's tried to 'keep it real' the faker (is that a word in this context?) that she's become....i'm sure you know about the ANTM drinking game take a shot every time she says fierce...take a shot every time she shows the models how they could have done it better

"your eyes were good like this <squints> but they would have been better like this <squints a little more and randomly swings head around> see what i mean?"

those might be my favorite moments of her shows.....these past two seasons of ANTM have been a little lackluster to say the least and depending on what happens next cycle i may be done for good, tyra having been a victim of her own success w/me
