And He's still Chuck Bass(thank heavens!)

In the beginning it seemed like all had returned to normal after last week's episode. Or as normal as it gets for our favorite prep school bunch. Though by episode end everyone was back to where we started more or less. Shall we tackle this like a three act play?

Act one in which Serena rushed to Dan's apartment to apologize and explain her wacky behavior. Like usual she figured that once she spilled the beans all would go back to normal with Lonely Boy. Of course she didn't expect to see Georgie wonder out of Dan's bedroom. (Pause for a second. Here again I question the elder Humprey parenting skills. Where was Rufus? Out all night with Lily? No wonder his kids are a mess. As for you  Dan, your sister was in the next room!) Now it's no surprise that Georgie loved this and it did lead to the first great line of the night. I think you know the one. So Serena tells Dan the story, forgives him for what might have happened and all is well. Now I loved Dan losing his scheming/lying virginity to Blair and Georgie's melt down in the park was classic. "At least I lasted longer then Lohan!" It was also great to see Queen B back in top form, "Don't you know I'm the Crazy B-itch around here?" but it didn't translate into the second act.

Act two where Dan is the bad guy but somehow ends up doing the dumping. Now did anyone else wonder how it was that Serena could push aside the fact that she thought Dan slept with Georgie but couldn't get over that he actually fooled around with G? Also did anyone else want to punch him in the face when he said, "I the world's most understanding guy"? Hello! You are a judgmental hypocrite. So he dumps her, at her mother's(albeit fourth)wedding. Also what happend between Rufus and Lily? Who says "I love you" to another man and then marches down the aisle to marry someone else? Who smiles while this happens? Thank goodness for Good Chuck who was all about redeeming himself. He makes up with Nate(who clearly has been borrowing Daddy's drugs because nothing else explains going from wanting to punch a guy one minute to fawning over his new love for your ex the next. Unless he is a girl. That would explain the bangs). Then declares his love for Blair. Ah Chuck's turning over a new leaf! Leading us to the last act.

Act three where all is as it should be. Chuck is still Chuck. Commitment? Leaving his partying ways? Putting someone else before himself? Nah.  Blair looks to have a new pushover, manbang wearing boy in her sights. Nate is back where he belongs(He sure got over V fast. Think we'll ever get the whole story?) flirting with Serena and disaster. And Dan and Vanessa are back to doing what they do best. Pinning over a sad little rich girl and for the best friend that will never be their boyfriend, respectively.

So Jenny's going to intern for Eleanor? Didn't see that one coming as soon as she opened that Parson's envelope. Looks like Little J will be swept right back up into the UES world. Maybe she'll be the daughter Eleanor always hoped Blair would be. Think we've seen the last of Georgina Sparks? Sources say no. Wonder what kind of trouble she'll be stirring up next season? I hope it involves Chuck. Will Rufus' tour and Lily's new apartment be distraction enough to keep the starcrossed lovers apart. I mean their kids are no longer an item. Of course how long is that going to last?

So until later this summer when we get to see the action again but this time in swim suits, I bid you adieu.
