My Musts This Week

Here's a  novel idea, I bare my soul and you bare yours. Come one people share your musts! A little give and take goes a long way.

1. Gilmore Girls on ABC Family- If you haven't  become a viewer yet here's your chance. They just started over with season one. Hop to it at 11am and you'll only miss one episode. If ya can't make it until 5pm tomorrow, you'll catch up. Watch for all the Family Guy connections if nothing else.

2.  Storm Over Everest on Frontline- This excellent special aired last week but will repeat on one of the many PBS stations. It's a great companion piece to the books  Into Thin Air and Left For Dead. I"m an Everest junkie but I think anyone could get into this.

3. Deadliest Catch on Discovery Channel at 9pm on Tuesdays- If only TV writers could write characters as awesome as these guys. Captain Jon of The Time Bandit and Captain Phil of The Cornelia Marie are my favorites.

4. MIA(Arula and Kala out on CD now)- If you haven't listened to her yet what the heck are you waiting for!?

Please share. I want inspiration.

1. BSG. Sci-fi. Period. Thrilled they've green-lit Caprica.

2. Moonlight. CBS - Alex O'Laughlin is a most yummy vampire. Too bad CBS 86'd - hopefully the CW will pick up.

3. Tudors. Historically a train wreck, and nothing compared to HBO's ROME (which is in reruns and I'm saving up for my post surgery hiatus), but still fun.

4. Currently slogging thru LOST season 3. (we wait for the DVD then watch it all at once - so SHUT THE H3LL UP!)

5. Waiting for them to release The Shield season 6 (again STHU!)

6. Anthony Bourdain - No Reservations: on the Travel Channel. (Waiting for the Vancouver one to rerun, since it somehow got bumped off the TIVO.

7. Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares (they need new eps - seen em all.)

8. CSI - VEGAS - very behind - all on the TIVO.

Stuff to put on your Netflix list:

9. The West Wing. Best TV series of all time. (BSG is #2)

10. HBO's ROME - #3 best series of all time.

11. Firefly - (Before Serenity the movie) #4 best TV series of all time.

12. Life On Mars - BBC America - Think this is out on DVD - About a detective who has a brain injury and suddenly finds himself living in the 70s.

13. Torchwood - got sucked in late last season and totally in this season.

14. HEX - was only good when Michael Fassbender was playing the angel Azazeal. (300, Hunger, and soon to play Heathcliff in new Wuthering Heights with Sienna Miller - though I think Natalie Portman would have been better and I can't see them even getting close to the Ralph Fiennes/Juliette Binoche version.)

oh - need to be specific about Gordan Ramsey - love the UK ones. The US ones, along with Hell's Kitchen are just too histrionic and over the top for me.

Hmmm, let me see.

1. I am totally into Kitchen Nightmares-U.K. as well. Gordon Ramsey is a cooking God!

2. I am obsessed with The Across The Universe soundtrack still. The movie's pretty good as well.

3. Gossip Girl- I've seen two episodes and am now hooked. I'm watching right this second!!!!

Bardgal, have you tried The Sarah Jane Adventures yet? Not as adult as Torchwood or quite as clever as Doctor Who but still a worthy entry to the ever growing Who Empire. Also Jack should be making his appearance in this season of Doctor Who very shortly.

Palais, tonight's Gossip Girl was really good. Expect a blog about it in the morn. Also I beg of you to use the summer to give Bones a real chance.
