Ok.....I had every intention to objectively review the AI final. I was extremely excited and looking forward to a pretty close race. But what I was not expecting was for the judges to completely throw David Cook under the bus! I mean seriously.....every single song that DC sang this week was incredible in my opinion. His voice sounded incredible, you could tell he really felt and was inspired by what he was singing....but in the end it dosen t matter what he accomplished....it appears the judges had decided before anyone even took a step on stage who they wanted to win. Archeleta could have just stood up there and said "gee....gosh.....you guys really like me??" and the judges would have told him it was the greatest performance in idol history. But when David Cook went up there and sang his heart out it was "ok" and "alright"....are you kidding me? Apparently I am deaf because I was moved by every one of DC's songs. I know I am normally one to go on and on about how I lovvve David Cook and he is soooo hot....but tonight I am really annoyed. David is probably one of the most original and passionate contestants that idol has ever seen and the judges pretty much just completely left him out to dry.....I mean really....really you thought that Archeleta.....who sounded exactly the same he sounds every time he sings what better then Cook.....I mean really? I don't know about you but at this exact minute I am voting and will be until 1:00am eastern time for the true American Idol who is David Cook...who is with me?

I'm a Cookie supporter, but I think he helped throw himself under the bus tonight. The spark wasn't there. I'm actually glad he'll be coming in second so he can go make his hit album without Clive Davis and the record company breathing down his back.

I don't know what his feeling were going into this....but personaly I loved everything he did tonight......David A. did good....but at the same time he sounded like he does every week....I think it will be close and all I know is I will be buying whatever David Cook is selling!

Sexy, he did great.....don't listen to what you hear about what the judges review.....I thought he did great tonight....he made me cry on the last one.....sorry...I don't mean to be a spoiler....I just think he did so great!

I know....I was shocked that Randy was so nice.....I am surprised that simon threw him under the bus.....I have been watching him on Leno and Ellen and he was Loving....by the way some David Cook....but I am still calling.....we can do this ladies!

I'm still not convinced that the powers that be weren't pulling the old reverse psychology with all the praise for D'Archie . . . trying to lull all the tweens and grandmas into a sense of false security and put D.Cook's cougar army into overdrive tonight. I think it woud be much better for building the shows brand back up to have a D.Cook win.

I agree chilekat......I mean....honestly tell me if I am losing my mind or something but I thought Cookie sounded incredible tonight.....if they want to make some money I would have assumed the judges would have backed Cook for the win.....I mean what happened up there tonight????

I'm halfway through, third song about to start. DA was off key in his first song. The judges are on crack. DC was flawless. The second song- I liked DC's.

D'Archie was off pitch in the first part of his song and D.Cook totally took the first face off. But I do think D.Cook was outsung (though not outperformed) on songs two and three by D'Archie. I'm actually no fan, but a win by D.Cook brings a credibility to the proceedings that yet another teen pop singer would not. And I think the show could sorely use a hit record out of the winner this season since they haven't really had one since Carrie two seasons ago. D.Cook has a much better chance of having not only commercial but critical success. I may not get the D.Cook love, but I know how to follow the money. I was especially surpriesed that Simon wasn't on the D.Cook love train because he normally knows how to follow the money, too.

Take it easy Scarlett,you will make it through this defeat,it`s not the end of the world. The kid just did a better job tonight,and he did it with class. No screaming,no jumping all over the place,he just gave his all,and what the people wanted to hear.Time to get off the love boat,you don`t stand a chance with Cookie. The next American Idol is: David Archuleta.

WTF...judges are high. Only round Archie won was the frackin' stupid original songs, which blew BTW. Texting my fingers off. Phones lines for DC are ALL busy!

Sorry - Collin Kelly - you are not a Cookie supporter! This year was about breaking the mold and rewarding risk. Simon totally bailed on Cook tonight after weeks of congratulating risk. Randy actually liked Cook tonight for doing exactly what he asked for, but couldn't get a word in edgewise. I feel totally duped and I just hope Cook wasn't in on it.
