Ok.....I will warn everyone right now that this will not be long bolg due to the fact that I watched the final on my DVR and fast forwarded through about 75% of it. It will not be a relatively coherent blog because I am now on my third glass of wine and feeling fine!!!! It will also not be an objective blog because by now you all know that I have declared my undying love for David Cook. Ok, now that you have been forewarned.......lets get this started.....
I had another engagement I had to attend to before tonight's final so I showed up late and fast forwarded through most of it. I did stop however when I saw David Cook's sexy, hot, licktastic face appear on the screen. I won't pretend I remember everything he sang tonight because the final was so crammed with out of control filler that my adult ADD kicked in and my focus just flew out the window....what I saw I liked!!......a lot!!! The ZZ top performance......hot! So hot by the way that I spilled my red wine not once but twice.....I am not kidding either....I had to pause it mid performance in order to get the proper cleaning solutions to get the stains out of my rug........I knew I should have stuck to the white wine.....anyway did anyone else scream YES!!!! when Cookie sang the lyrics of Freedom ...."I was every little hungry schoolgirl's pride and joy And I guess it was enough for me." I know I did......and that by the way, that was the second time I spilled the wine for the evening....now I haven't been a school girl for quite some time considering I am 29 an all .......but......yummmmm!
Ok......lets just move on to the moment of truth because honestly, that is all I really cared about during this final........I was pretty much sitting on the edge of my couch just hoping and praying that Ryan would say those magical words.......and to my utter and complete joy and excitement he did.....the next American Idol is David Cook......Holly @#&$!!!! Cookie is crying, I am crying.....I have by the way put my wine down to prevent another incident from happening........I am overjoyed and ecstatic that America got it right....thank you for voting for talent all season and not just who the judges tried to push down our throats all night! Congratulations....David Cook, you deserve this win and I am beyond excited for you.......love ya baby.....and by any chance if you love me feel free to send me a message......maybe we can work something out.....ok, I do realize that I am "taken" but for you DC......I may be tempted to forget about that for a night or two......I am naughty, I know.....love ya anyway! =)

I have to give it to you that D.Cook did put it down in the George Michael medley. And he made the crap winner's single the most palatable train wreck since 'Tasia took the mess that was "I Believe" and made it transcendent. Still don't wanna lick him. Ever. But that's the beauty of beauty. Eyes. Beholders. All that jazz.

As great as that Freedom moment was, the one that sent me over the edge was " Till the end of time" during " Father Figure". I dropped a nacho on my couch and I swear it took me five minutes to notice.
