My Musings on Hell's Kitchen (6/17)

Well, tonight it was down to the final 4 - Corey, Christina, Petrozza & Jen.  At the beginning of the show I still wanted Jen gone & still had no favorite.  Chef commented at the end of last weeks show that he had no favorite either.  I wonder if that's EVER gonna change?  I dont know how he could ever consider hiring  ANY of the chef's to run his restaurant at this point.

Could you guys believe how Jen was trying to suck up to Christina after last week's elimination at the beginning of tonight's episode?  That woman has no shame!  NOW she thinks she needs friends on the show?!  Wow!  She is soo fake!  It didnt make a difference to the other chef's though - they saw right through her.  They were ALL gunning for Jen at that point.  Good!

The chef's first challenge of the night was one hour to cook for 80 people, but they had no idea WHO the diner's were going to be.  All they DID know was that the patrons would be picking the winner.  I thought that Petrozza's (a monte cristo sandwich) and Christina's (a turkey sandwich) dishes sounded the best.  Chef even commented that Petrozza was doing a good job!  Whoa!  Good for him!  Corey seemed to be a mess & really slow.  Christina seemed to be really calm.  I didnt think that Jen had enough food to feed 80 people.

And the mystery guests were...pregnant women!  O - K.  It really WAS the mother of all challenges!  Good one Chef Ramsey!  Lol.

Corey did a HORRIBLE job & Chef Ramsey laughed when she came in 4th place in the competition.  And the winner was - Christina -by TWO points over Petrozza!  Ohh!  Poor Petrozza.  I was hoping that he would win that challenge.  Christina got a SWEET prize!  A shopping spree with Chef Ramsey in Beverly Hills with more than a thousand dollars (according to Chef) to spend. Nice!  The losers had to clean the dining room.

OMG - did anyone else see Jen eating  food off the pregnant ladies plates?  AGAIN?  She was eating discarded food AGAIN!  Nasty!

Corey was soo incredibly jeleous of Christina winning the shopping trip.  Jen, too.  Even Petrozza was a little green, but I think he was more upset about losing by only 2 points than the actual prize.   But what if he HAD won?  Where would Ramsey have taken him to shop?  Can you imagine Petrozza on Rodeo Drive?  LOL!  Hilarious!

Christins really IS clueless about fashion.  She said all her current clothes were black & white cause they match.  Wow.  It was soo funny watching Chef trying to make her look cute with his fashion & hair suggestions!

Whe Christina got back from her spree, Corey & Jen were soo transparently jeleous and b*tchy to her.  How catty.  Even Petrozza was ignoring her when she first came into the kitchen for dinner prep!  Lol!

During service, Chef said the Jen's risotto was "stunning."  Was that a better compliment than Chef's comment about Matt's risotto being the best ever in Hell's Kitchen a few weeks back?  Lol.  Too bad she was complimented one minute and then screwed up 10 minutes later AGAIN - just like last week.  She is soo consistantly inconsistant.    Then Christina left a pot's handle over the flame on the stove and it burned Chef Ramsey's hand not once, but TWICE!  I thought for sure he was gonna throw her out of the kitchen for that, but he didnt.  What a stupid mistake!  Any beginner at-home cook or chef knows not to do what Christina did!  It's cooking-101.  Duh!  I just couldnt believe that she'd do that once, nonetheless twice.  And speaking of STUPID - how dumb was Corey for putting out food that she KNEW wasnt cooked!  She thought she was soo slick getting it past Chef Ramsey!  I KNEW the customer was gonna send it back though.  How gross.  She TOTALLY shouldve known that it was going to come back and bite her in the ***!

Chef said that Petrozza was the strongest ever on the meat station.  I think except for his station being dirty, that he is one of the best chef's on the show this season.  Besides, being messy is WAY less terrible than some of the other chef's problems this time around.

They had a miracaculosly quick service!  Chef Ramsey was all smiles and comlpiments for a change after dinner.  He said it was the best service of the season.  Then he told the final 4 to go into the back and come up with a consesus of 2 to go on the block.  It was a popularity contest between the final 4 themselves at that point.  Again, Jen was being totally fake & trying to be nice.  Obvoiusly no one bought it.  I KNEW that she'd definatly be one of the 2 on the block.  So they voted on paper & someone put Christins'a name twice!  (They were only allowed to vote for 2 people a peice, different names.)  Oh course everyone suspected it was Jen who voted twice for Christina.  I wouldnt put it past her - but then again I think Corey couldve done it too.  They never really hashed it out on camrea, but the final 2 turned out to be Jen and Corey.  ( I wonder what wouldve happened if Corey, Petrozza & Christina had gone to Chef & told him that they all wanted to ONLY put up Jen.  That wouldve been interesting.)  And the next to go was...JEN!  YEEES! WHOO HOO!  FINALLY!  It took long enough.  She shouldve been gone weeks ago.  And now there are three...

Now that Jen's gone, I really want to have someone to root FOR, insted of against.  I think srtictly from a likeability standpoint - Petrozza is the one I like best.  But - this isnt a "who's the most likable" contest.  I still think Christina should fisish culinary school before running anyone's restaurant.  Corey has more experience than her, but is she a better chef than Petrozza?  That is my question.  I think the final 2 will come down to Corey and someone - hopefully Petrozza.  I just really dont like Corey's personality, while Petrozza seems to be a really nice guy.  But who is the better chef?  We shall see.  Till next week....

It's a tough one. Petrozza is the most likable, but the only one I can picture running a kitchen at this point is Corey- and I really don't like her.

I feel the same way.
