My Musings on Last Comic Standing (7/3)

I didnt bother to blog on LCS last week because they're still in the semi-finals, and there are too many contestants to really pick a favorite yet.  That makes there not too much to say.  This isnt really going to be much of a post either, considering that this week was a semi-finals week as well.  (At least this was the last week of semi-finals, though.)

On last weeks show, they put 5 comics through to the finals.  This week they put 7 more through.  Now they have their final 12.  Next week is the first week of the finals.  Finally!  We can start to pick our fav.'s!  (And least fav.'s.  That's always fun, too.)

Here's an interesting tidbit.  At the end of last weeks show, they commented that there has never been a female winner of LCS.  Interesting.   Now that they have the final 12 picked - there are only TWO female finalists.  Looks like, unless these chicks are HILARIOUS - that there still may not be a female winner at the end of this season.  But hey - we can hope!  Good Luck this season's female contestants!  I'll be rooting for ya!  (IF youre funny!)

P.S.  One more thing...I was SOO happy that the first comic of the night (I think his name is Marcus)  did that bit about Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory being a scarey movie for children.  I was TERRIFIED of it as a kid!  (I'm talking about the original version.  I wont even get NEAR the Jonny Depp re-make...)  Thank God someone else thought it was as traumatizing as I did!  Anyone else out there afraid of WWATCF when they were kids?  This has brought up some very frightening  memories for me.  I may need to start a support group....
