I have recently gotten into "Torchwood" and I hear that one of the main characters originally came from "Doctor Who." What can you tell me about Captain Jack Harkness?

Well, first you should actually watch Doctor Who. Jack shows up halfway through series 1. He runs into Rose and the Doctor in WWII London. He's a rouge time agent. It's because of a kiss from Rose that Jack is unable to die. She somehow transfers the power of the TARDIS to him. The kiss also causes some hostility between the Doctor and Jack. It's pretty detailed and you learn something really interesting about Jack in series 3. Also the hand in the Torchwood HQ belongs to the Doc and you can learn why it disappears. Listen do me a favor, watch Doctor Who. Jack is coming back in Series 4 too.

Watch Doctor Who from Season 1. This is the most updated version of Doctor Who - the one that was on the Sci-Fi Channel?

Yup that's the new and improved Doctor Who. Sci-Fi has aired series 1-3. Series 4 comes out this month in the UK. If ya have the BBC you can catch it. Other wise you'll have to wait, like me, for Sci-Fi to air it. They usually run about a month behind. Oh the Christmas special hasn't aired in the US yet but it's online. It doesn't forward any story lines much but it's good fun.

Blink is pretty much one of the best episodes of TV I have ever seen. And Human Nature/Family of Blood was just phenomenal. David Tennant totally rocked it in those episodes.

Capncrunch - Definitely go back and watch Doctor Who S1 at least the last 5 episodes, but the whole thing would be better. Just because it's that awesome.

Yeah, Blink was awesome. Really smart sci-fi. I loved how they basically treated it as a one off departure from the adventures of the good Doctor, but he was all around the story, from the past and the future.

Blink was great. My friends and I quote the wibly, wobly, timey, wimey line all the time. There's usually one episode a season like Blink. Series 2 had one featuring a guy obsessed with Jeff Lynne and had the chick who played Moaning Myrtle. I didn't like the Human Nature/Family Blood episodes that much. I did like the darker turn David Tennat's doctor took in series 3.

I wasn't crazy about the first half of Season 3, especially the Daleks in NYC one, but the second half rocked. Blink, Human Nature and Family of Blood were all brilliant! I can't wait for Season Four to start!

Series 4 should be very interesting. Donna returns has the season long companion with return visits from Martha, Rose(yay!) and Sarah Jane Smith. Martha is also suppose to pop up on Torchwood.
