The Forgotten Best Shows

Everyone is talking about The Sopranos, Lost, and other shows that are among the best.  But I am confused about one thing: where are the AMC shows?  Mad Men?  Breaking Bad?  Those are specacles of television and have been shunned from the normal network discussion.  Mad Men was so entrancing that I even made time to watch the encore presentations.  And Breaking Bad?  A gritty thriller about a chemistry teacher-turned meth maker?  Must've missed that one...Does anyone know what I'm talking about?  I think that these shows deserve a chance, especially Mad Men (for the painstaking 60's cinematography).  Ah well...I can dream, can't I?

Didn't Mad Men win a golden globe? I think that's a chance if ever I heard it...and Breaking Bad is so good it makes me forget that brian cranston was on malcom in the middle!

More than anything I think that AMC is so new to the show thing that people aren't really on the same page. I remember the same thing when FX started making shows....

Good post. I've not seen either, but maybe I should give them a shot, right after I catch up with that Lost thing...
