Who knew that American Idol would have me shouting "Amen" and "Hallelujah" tonight? The Clark Brothers bluegrassed through This Little Light of Mine, Dolly sang something about Jesus and Gravity, Simon sought forgiveness and Brooke had a come to Jesus moment. Jesus was in the building.
But what made me shout "Hallelujah" tonight was finding out the Ramiele is going home. As short and cute as she is, she never quite made it on the big Idol stage. Her performances never measured up to the rest of the contestants. America made the right choice (can I get an "Amen").
I really thought Syesha would be in the bottom three. All I ever hear is that Brooke is so loved, so I was kind of surprised that she landed in the bottom. I thought Syesha's performance was bottom three worthy. I do have to give credit to Kristy Lee. The woman knows she is not well liked and she's still having fun while not playing the victim. Kudos.
Other observations:
Jason, Jason, Jason: I really want to like you, but you're becoming a bit annoying. Your hoedown dance is over the top and a bit rude. You couldn't get away from Brooke fast enough after you found out you were safe. And it looks like you could care less who gets voted off as long as it's not you. You need to at least pretend that you care what happens on this show.
I loved Michael's t-shirt! That picture of Dolly was priceless.
The Clark Brothers didn't add much to the revival tent meeting. Nobody moved during their performance (especially the Idols). It was like everyone was at a funeral instead of concert. Even the go-to mosh pit stood still.

I will give you an Amen!!! I am happy with the results tonight...and speaking of t-shirts, was Syesha wearing a t-shirt with Paula Abdul on it?? If so, what the french toast??
