So apparently Brooke is meatless? I wasn't sure about the judges' comments last night on Idol. (At one point, I'm pretty sure I caught Paula telling Brooke and Ryan that they looked good on stage together. What the hell is that supposed to mean??) Anyway, I didn't mind Brooke at all. I also loved Carly, but the judges hated it. Why are they so harsh with these two?
I was intrigued as to what David Cook & Jason Castro were going to do with Mariah, and I was pretty happy with the end result. It's no surprise I was happy with David Cook's version of anything. I oddly enough agreed with Paula that it belonged on some movie soundtrack. Some weird emo-movie that finds Mariah Carey ironic and campy.
David A, Syesha, and Kristy did exactly what I expected them to do. I don't think any of them are going home actually. I think we're in for another shocker tonight, although I really hope not.
On to the other cheesy-as-hell show that I can't believe I admit to watching, Dancing With the Stars. These results shows are almost as padded and terrible as Idol's, so I have to focus on the performances. I never thought I'd say this, but Shannon Elizabeth makes me feel a little bit better about myself. She may be gorgeous, a foot taller than me, and weigh about 10 lbs less than I do, but I'm pretty sure I could make it through a 90 second dance without needing an oxygen tank. Do some cardio!
