I tape (DVR) this show and watch it late at night because no one else will watch it with me. And I only watch it because it's a little bit on the SiFi end of programing.

I watched it last season and all along kept thinking things like: Millions of people have been murdered, the country is basically destroyed, there are shortages of just about everything and yet everyone is fighting each other? Or, why don't they just go to to the nearby "city" WalMart, Target or Kmart to get everything they need and find out what's actually going on? The country was just blown away and this guy is worried about his taxes?

To be truthful I was sad and a little bit amazed that so many people actually wanted this show back. The whole concept is a bit thin and the aftermath unlikely.

And this episode just keeps confirming it.

Why would the "president" comes to this tiny nothing town? Wouldn't he get more coverage at one of the nuked sites or one of the other towns that at least had a WalMart?

That Jericho suffered? They're not the ones that got blown up. Only a a few (plus or minus 60) people were killed and that was by the other town.

That the US government and armed forces are incapable of surviving a major attack? It was the cities not the military bases that got blown-up. There were 23(?) cities that were nuked and most of those were not the the state's capitals. So, if there's 50 states, that means there at least 27 state capitals that are still intact and operational. Wouldn't those governments be trying to contact the federal government or each other to find out what's going on and to maintain control?

So you see, this whole concept is pretty pretty flimsy. But, like a monkey drawn to a banana, I can't help myself to watch. And yet, at the same time, I can't help but think this is pretty stupid, I can't wait until it's over.

By the way... what's up with that Jake. Those wild and crazy eyes and that KILL! KILL! KILL! attitude?

Hee! I agree with you.

i agree to a point. if you look at any major crisis the states that are not involved are huddled around looking at what has happened while those that are involved begin to sort things out and call for federal assistance. i think the thing that is being overlooked here is it was an attack, an attack from with in. rogue elements in various state and federal agencies set this up. the bombs were only the diversion to allow the government to be stolen. sound familiar???? look around us now. we do not divide at the mississippi but we continue to be divided into reb v. blue. this is a winderful show for history and modern politics. keep it on the air.
