Is it just me, or does it seem like the FOX producers purposely picked a weak song for David Archuleta? It appears as though they don???t want him to win, possibly for fear of having to deal with his father. As they did with David Cook, they could have picked a power song for David Archuleta if they had wanted. FOX employs professionals and even the judges didn???t understand the song choices by the producers. Anyone else agree?!

I'm not sure if the producers purposely picked a "bad" song for David A. I'm thinking they knew damn well he could ONLY do a ballad and had pretty much worn the ballad pool thin. They wanted something simple and easy to remember so that he wouldn't screw up the lyrics AGAIN.
Poor Syesha. Since I'm in the south.. I'll just say.. Bless her heart. And you guys can find the meaning in that.
My disclaimer.... David C has been my favorite for quite some time. With that said.. I do think he did the best out of all.
And can someone please explain to me why is it that the judges insist, each season, to slam the song choices *ie: producers choice* to the contestants WHEN THEY DIDN'T PICK THEM???? I think that they should critique how the song was sung... not the song itself.
On a side note... the only time I sat up from the couch and did a fist pump was when I saw the "Cougars for Cook" sign :)
