'Idol' exec on Archuleta dad uproar

Is it just me, or does it seem like the FOX producers purposely picked a weak song for David Archuleta? It appears as though they don???t want him to win, possibly for fear of having to deal with his father. As they did with David Cook, they could have picked a power song for David Archuleta if they had wanted. FOX employs professionals and even the judges didn???t understand the song choices by the producers. Anyone else agree?!

don't you understand that everyone only has a limited amount of time to choose songs? i would have felt bad if the contestants had to choose all 3 songs! they probably only have a day to choose and the producers and the judges probably picked songs while the top 3 were in their hometowns. maybe the producers thought that a power song might not work for little david. i hope he sings one in the finale! i didn't think it was a "weak" song, maybe not little david's best, but at least he tried! and how can you say something ignorant like the producers are afraid of david's dad? i don't think david's dad caused the producers money problems intentionally, the producers might not have told him. i think this whole thing with david's dad is being blown way out of proportion.
