I am very upset, what is American Idol coming to. Jason only sang one song. It's obvious the producers told Paula what to say because they want a David/David finale and that is not fair. I can guarntee you that she liked Jason's performances but was told what to say. I think this is so unfair to do such a talented and sweet contestant like this. I think Brooke should go home. Oh and by the way everytime David A. makes a mistake its overlooked and not mentioned. I am starting to dislike this show.

That's not what happened. Most everyone knows that there is an entire filmed dress rehearsal with audience present, Seacrest doing his thing and usually the judges. Obviously, the judges started their critique notes during dress rehearsal because of the tight show. Of course, that's not really fair, but chances are if the contestant has chosen the wrong song and sucks while singing it in rehearsal, won't perform it much better during the live show an hour or so later. Doobie J.'s performance of "Forever In Blue Jeans" was okay, but "September Morn" was a train wreck. I doubt Paula's flub would have made much difference.

Thanks for the typeface change - much better. Also, I am not too upset about what Paula's mistake (or whatever it was). I still will watch and make up my own mind about the contestants - no matter if the producers are influencing the judges or not. Has anyone considered that maybe Paula is so incoherant at times that they help her out she can at least sound as if she is in the right place? Just a point to ponder.
