It's so obvious the AI producers really really want to market David Cook rather than the other contestants. It's also really obvious that's he's not so much interested in proposition. That's why I believe he chose the Switchfoot song 'Dare You to Move," the lyrics of which could be interpreted to question his imminent manufactured celebrity.
I agree he performed it poorly -- apparently that song choice was a late decision.
The tension of the contest is not the contest between David and David but David Cook's ambivalence about winning, which was on clear display last night. One wonders how manageable an American Idol he will be.
Simon Cowell is a diabolical genius. He tossed David Cook "Face" because he knew David C wouldn't be able to whiff it even if he wanted to -- it was such a juicy pitch. It was a remarkable rendition.

These fans with their obtuse, non-objective judgment about contestants they just don't like because of superficial reasons are almost as annoying as the biased, less-than impartial comments of the "so called" judges on the show. After all, this is supposed to be a competition based on performance, even though it ends up being more and more about popularity.
Like it or not, the truth is that Syesha WON her way into the finale. Some may not have liked her as much throughout the season, but one has to admit that she consistently raised her game each week. She faced unfair scrutiny from fans and judges along the way, and always took the high road.
Anyone who can???t own up to the fact that Syesha was ???bamboozled, hoodwinked, took??? in this CONtest needs to grow up and keep their unqualified and ostentatious remarks where they belong??? in the toilet with the show???s credibility.

I really tink the producers couldn??t be more obvious... Longer I meant, thats horrible song, they are crying because they are losing audience but they do this kind of thing, I like DA, I don??t see him with grat personallity, but he is a kid he can grow up to be a good performarce with the right guidence and I like Syesha song, less fever, but she never get that much of fans as the Davids.... But the sabotage of the two, David Archuleta & Syesha, wasn??t necesary...
