The Baby Ache in Our Bones

This week's episode had our favorite forensic anthropologist and FBI agent investigating the mysterious death of a small town factory worker, and taking care of the victim's child.  Thanks to Brennen's initial ignorance of baby care, the baby ended up swallowing a crucial piece of evidence, and thus earning a trip to the Jeffersonian and a seat in the back of Booth's crime-fighting SUV.

The writer's did a good job of showing Brennen's change of heart towards little Andy, going from her awkward yet hilarious criticism of his baby toy, "Elephants aren't purple.  This is wrong", to sharing a game of "fun phalanges."  By the end of the episode, the idea of Brennen becoming a mommy herself didn't seem completely foreign.  Though Booth reminded her, "You still have time...well, not a lot of time."

Babies were on the brains of everyone else at the Jeffersonian as well.  We learned that Cam isn't interested in having children because it would just add more bodily fluids to her life, and ruin her figure.  Angela confessed to wanting "like, a million" much to the surprise and worry of a nearby Hodgens.  And Zac, despite his genius IQ, wasn't sure if infants are supposed to have pink pee pee.  After all the baby-talk, they pulled it together and solved the case.

As for the episode's Booth-Brennen bonding; I loved the awkward moment they shared cooing over little Andy when Brennen refers to him as "our little guy".  When are these two going to run off into the sunset already?!

All in all, a solid and fun episode, but where oh where is Sweets? When will that Christmas kiss finally be acknowledged? And who the hell is the Gormagon/Gorgonzola?!
