Helllloooooo Losties. I know...I know.. Once again I have been slacking but thanks to Kara I am back on track. It's been a while, I missed you guys, the blog, but most of all I missed LOST and I would just like to start by saying OH MY GOD!!!!!! That was by far the best episode this season. Overall it was my second favorite episode right after "The Man Behind the Iron Curtain" WOWZERS!!! That whole episode left me in shock and awe. Can the island turn out to be the Long Island Sound?? So during the time of Kate and Jack's irrelevant chatter regarding pills, crackers, and why Sayid hasn't phoned home yet, Vincent and Bernard come across a body that washed ashore. Lo and behold it's none other than Doc Ray. Two things cross me as suspicious, one of course is the fact that his throat was opened up like a Pez dispenser and two, the scar on his face was re-stitched. You will see in the comparison picture that on the freighter his gash to the face was healing but when he washed ashore his gash was freshly sewn together. If only they could have done the same for his neck. Sawyer was right... It wasn't the pizza boy... Before we get into the destruction of New Otherton, let's talk about the game of Risk in which Hurley, Locke, and Sawyer were playing. The writers once again pulled a fast one on us. Hurley uses the phrases "He want's us to fight amongst ourselves, that's what he wants" and "we are all gonna die" which up until this point we assume he is talking about Ben until AHA!!! It's only Hugo being over dramatic, playing Risk with Sawyer. Is this what they do to pass the time? Risk? With all the technology on the island they couldnt even manage to get a Sony PlayStation or a karaoke machine? Needless to say Hurley also mentions that Australia's 'the key' to the whole game. Could it be that obvious the writers are trying to tell us something? At this point we know Alex is being held hostage by the evil freeple and is forced to unlock the sonar fence by entering a code. Alex unwillingly unlocks it but at the same time sends a message to the house. "Code 14-J, Code 14-J". This triggers Locke to confront Ben, and it's a good thing he did... They HAVE arrived - and they are Angry!! During the next few minutes the drama went from action packed to ridiculously unbelievable. Here are some things I noticed... 1) Screw all the extras, Sawyer needs to save Claire! I love the fact that Sawyer, came out unscathed while 3, yes count em' 3 other Losties were picked off from a very experienced sniper. How is that possible? Seriously, I was laughing out loud "stay in the house!" 2) There is nothing like a picket fence and barbeque grill from blocking bullets to the body. I will keep this in mind next time our family reunion gets out of hand. And 3) if you are a cute, blonde girl and your house explodes while you are taking a nap there is a really good chance you will make it out alive. Good news for me, bad news for most of you... :) Note to self: NEVER EVER date Sayid Ok so right now Sayid's track record with women isn't going so well. Let's recap, Shannon - dead, Elsa - dead, Nadia - dead. Basically I wouldn't even flirt with the man unless I wanted my foot cut off. With that said we learn Sayid finds the love of his life only to bury her less than a year later. Around October 24, 2005 (which is actually take back your time day). Ben discovers in his future trip to Tunisia that Sayid is still being haunted by the island. It wasn't a coincidence Ben heard about Nadia???s death. I believe Ben was the cause of Nadia's death. He knew Sayid was the best man for the missions that lie ahead and the only way to get Sayid's full cooperation was to take away the only thing he lived for. Ben had suffered his greatest loss when he watched his daughter die in cold blood. He was always a man on a mission, but this time it's personal and he will do whatever it takes to make sure he has the strongest man on his team. "He Changed the Rules" For the first time in this series entirety we see Ben at his most vulnerable. For once, he lost control of everything going on around him. Alex was dead and something was different. "He changed the rules". This made me think... What rules were changed?? Could it be that Ben has lived through the entire island experience over and over again? He HAS always been so calm in the most chaotic of times. Who could forget the time he reminded Jack that Locke technically didn't kill Naomi yet? How did he know Naomi wasn't dead yet? Has Ben seen this all before?? Has he expected everything up until the unexpected happened? Times are different now. I truly believe that during the time since Ben "released the beast" and re-entered the room with Locke, Sawyer, and the rest of the crew, Ben stepped into a portal in time which led to his confrontation with Charles Widmore. He did state to Widmore "your rock was lovely this time of year". Hell hath no furry like a smoke monster scorned. All I could say is WOW... Who knew Ben kept fluffy locked up in his basement? Who could forget Miles asking "Did you just call that thing"? Clearly he lied to Locke and he does know what the smoke monster is but it's not up to Ben to give Locke an explanation. After all, there are many reasons they are on the hunt to find the infamous Christian Shepard, err... Jacob... The Big Showdown.. At the end of the episode we see Ben standing in Charles Widmore's penthouse. This is where it can all end but of course the writers throw us for another loop. Ben reminds Charles flat out "You know as well as I know I can't kill you. WHAT??? This makes no sense!!! Charles then unkindly reminds Ben that everything Ben has was originally Charles' including the island. This brings me back to my original theory that Widmore heavily funded the Hanso foundation / Dharma Initiate and Ben took everything away from Charles' once the first purge took place. This poses 3 questions. 1) Was Widmore EVER on the island?? 2) Was ageless Richard an inhabitant on the island BEFORE Widmore and crew or was he a part of a Dharma experiment that went bad? And 3) Does Widmore know about Jacob? Once again I only hope everything will eventually tie together seamlessly. That's all I got folks... Please feel free to email me with any questions, concerns, and theories of your own. Once again I am SORRY for getting this out to you so late. And as always, GET LOST!!!
