Of course, importance is completely subjective, but I'll list some shows that are of equal or more importance, at least in my opinion, whether or not they're shows I even like:
I Love Lucy, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Degrassi: The Next Generation, The Real World, Roots, Gilligan's Island, The Oprah Winfrey Show, Saturday Night Live, The Simpsons, Sex and the City, Rugrats, M*A*S*H, CSI, The O.C., Ellen.
