Past seasons have shown us that the odds-on favorite early in the season almost never win. Tamyra Grey from Season 1, LaToya London in Season 3, and Melinda Dolittle from last season are examples of this. When performers start out strong in the Semi-finals, it is hard for them to continue that momentum week after week after week. I think that is exactly what we'll see happen with David A. Plus, I'm not sure if the Powers That Be may want him to win this season, he does not seem that marketable in today's music environment, but hey, then again neither was Taylor Hicks.
As for who may win, I'm not entirely sure, the overall group is rather lackluster this year, but I am certain that someone will shine and overcome David A., the early favorite.
