Sure Rosie could be a pain sometimes, but she seemed to have some intelligence, a giving heart, a funny talented persona, and even her "outrageous statements" came from a certain point of view.
Sherri Sheperd just sounds like an IDIOT. She seems to enjoy her stupidity and it doesn't seem to bother her that her ridiculous comments makes all women (especially the ones sitting next to her) appear insignificant. Sherri was proud that she didn't really know that the Earth wasn't flat. I can't really give any more examples because I have stopped watching the show. But every now & then I hear someone complain about something dumb Sherri has said. Sherri has no message or wisdom to add to the panel- not as a mother, not as a Black person (ya got Whoopi), not as a comic (ya got Joy & Whoopi), not as a conservative (ya got Hasselback) Sherri just seems to shine at being an embarassment.
Rosie always seemed to want to teach viewers about something (Depression,Autism,Lesbianism) whether we wanted to know or not. She said some intense stuff that made you feel uncomfortable because it made you question core beliefs about patriotism, racism, sexism, something...meaingful
Why Barbara?

While Sherri Shepard acts like she has the brain of a peanut, she is not a worse host for The View than Rosie O'Donnell ever was because:

1. Sherri Shepard is not a host of The View and,
2. Rosie O'Donnell was a moderator not a host of The View

Host, Moderator, Co-Host, Panelist, ... Sherri's presence hurts the View, whatever her title is.

"Sherri's presence hurts The View" is a completely different arguement than "Sherri Sheperd is a much worse host for The View than Rosie O'Donnell ever was." I would agree with the former arguement, not the latter because Rosie O'Donnell's, Meredith Veira's, and Whoopi Goldberg's roles on the show were/are completely different than than Sherri's role.

Goldberg, Veira, and O'Donnell were all supposed to be moderators on The View. This is why they lead the discussion, break to commericals, and get paid more money. Sherri and Rosie did not serve in the same role or function, and Sherri was brought onto the show to replace Star--not Rosie. So it's NOT a fair comparison.

If you had compared Rosie to Meredith or Whoopi to Rosie, it would have been a different ball game.

oh i wish i could have voted on this... rosie is rediculous

I agreed with much of what Rosie said, but not with the manner in which she said it. Sherri's not obnoxious or rude to the other women on the show. The whole point is that they have different views--it's in the title! Respecting each other's rights to their views is something Rosie lacked--and something each current cast member has.

hm. i must have been on crack? i CAN vote for this. yay!

ok the person to replace Rosie wasnt Sheri it was Whoo/pi which was an amazing choice. Sheri basically was brought on because Elizabeth would be out for the months she was maternity and Barbara Walters wanted some time off and didnt want to be relied on as often to come on
