Okay, I know you're going to say the Beatles, or even the Stones, but the special thing about U2 is that they've been able to stay together for 25 years, avoid the now stereotypical rockstar behavior (drugs, etc.), help make the world a better place, have a spectacular live show, and create awesome music, too. All around, U2 beats out any other group bar none.

I can't say that U2 Greatest Band Ever. There are plenty of bands past and present that would be place ahead of U2. U2 is a good band but they would not even make my Top 10 List of Bands.
