I don't think Moviez5 is debating me anymore, but my next point was going to be that "better" all depends on your definition. I think Project Runway is a great show, but I believe what makes American Idol "better"--your word here--is so many people who appear on it make it big. Chris Daughtry, Carrie Underwood, and Kelly Clarkson are all major stars. Fantasia and Clay Aiken are on Broadway right now. Jennifer Hudson won an Oscar! I think it's the better show because it offers the most opportunity for its contestants.

I mean, considering I think American Idol is the worst thing to happen to television and I really like Project Runway, this one is pretty easy for me.

Project Runway is certainly more interesting than American Idol. Every week I am blown away by what the designers are able to create with just a day or two. And while American Idol is entertaining, very rarely to I walk away thinking that the singers have actually accomplished something. Most of the time I'm just curious as to how they ended up on the big stage at all. The talent of the designers on PR is never in doubt and that's why it's a much better show overall. Also, TIM GUNN!

I have NEVER watched Idol.
Project Runway is about talent, hard work, creativity, style (individual/social), and more. It is sexy, fun and radical- showing people of various age, sexual persuasion, race, and cultural upbringing. It is cool and interesting to watch.

i'm one of the 30 million viewers! and think about all the big names that have come from american idol: kelly clarkson, fantasia, justin guarini, kelly pickler, josh gracin, carrie underwood, chris daughtry, clay aiken, jordin sparks, somewhat reuben, and even people from this season: like david archuleta. the fact is, the show changes more lives, and my opinion is that it is five million times more interesting. i know absolutely no names from project runway.
