I've been waiting for them to dial up Billy since season one.
Billy's songbook would be quite challenging for this group, even Amanda "National Lampoon's European Vacation's Audrey" Overmeyer, who one would think could breeze through a rendition of "Rebel Yell" but might be surprised at how hard that song is to sing.
Producers, make it happen!

American Idol is full of wholesome, poppy, maintstream stuff. Also, the show is crap. They should have Justin Timberlake week, Elvis week, etc. But Billy Idol week? Let's have Sid Vicious week after that!
Some artists just aren't appropriate for what American Idol is going for. Sex Pistols week? Eminem week? Hell no. Ooo! How about Spinal Tap week? I would tune in for that.

I don't mean to generalize, but the contestants I've seen seem to not really be of the, um, "creative" breed. More of the "I'm fine with being Garfunkel and just singing real pretty" breed.
