I think Bender's a Robot, not an android. Androids are kind of like robotic humans while robots are well... robotic with little to no faux human accoutrements. (I'm no scientist, sorry)

Does this difference in the two throwdown subjects matter to anybody?

I'm familiar with both characters and wouldn't mind just picking my favorite. Data & Bender are both inherently automated beings who display human quirks which viewers have grown to love.

can we get some more examples of who would then count as androids...would that make cameron from TSCC an android? Or...what about the buffy-bot? She's kinda human, but was called a buffy-bot....

Bender isn't an android. No skin, doesn't "eat" (although he drinks enough beer I might be proven wrong on that one eventually).

When you think about it, Cameron from T:TSCC is a bit like VICI from Small Wonder. Her cover is that she is the boy's sister and she has a penchant for taking all orders literally.

That being said Cameron is the best android. She's a badass that I'd kind of like to have sex with.

Cam is a cyborg. Difference between androids and cyborgs are androids represent humans on both a physical and anatomical level, whereas cyborgs just look like us and are all metal inside.

So Demetri, your fantasies with Cameron might be difficult to materialize. Unless...well I won't go there...

What about Bishop from the Aliens movie series? He's a pretty damn cool android or "synthetic" (if you want to get technical about it). I'd like to see Data pull off the knife trick!
