Eli Stone has been a very reliable performer ever since it debuted in February. There really hasn't been a bad episode. The season finale was just awesome. It was put together perfectly. Richard Schiff was great guest starring as Eli's conscience. The final ten minutes were just awesome! A subconscious accupuncture session. George Michael as The Lord. And the ending - simple and simply awesome.

I love this show and truly truly hope it comes back, but if it doesn't I'm okay with that too. The season finale leaves plenty of doors open to keep the show going, but it also gave me plenty of closure.

Well the season finale was very, very, very good but it wasn't perfect. for one Natasha Henstridge continued to stink up the screen with her wooden, bland acting which conveyed little to no emotion. Also, the repeative visions that Eli sees were starting to get old--show us something new already--also the fact that Ed Cavanaugh wasn't on was also a major let-down- Although it was excellent i would say there was still room for improvement.

Room for improvement sure, but as far as a season finale goes, it was spot on. It left the door open for some great stuff next season - Eli becoming a partner, the pursuit of Maggie - but there's still a chance that ABC won't bring the show back. The season finale offered great closure.

how could you not get behind the final musical number? It was incredible. Not much in the way of entertainment makes me cry, and that number had me in tears.

The problem i felt with the finale is that i don't think it provided enough closuer---we saw Eli open his eyes, but we don't know if that means he has any brain activity or if he's going to be brain damaged.

That's why it was so good! You know he didn't die, but so many things can happen from here. This way, you get the closure of him waking up, but your still left with somewhere to go for next season.

I think both you and I really like the show a lot. Please correct me if I'm wrong. When I find a new show that really drags me in I look for two things at the close of the first season. First, does the finale give me promise of something bigger and better to come next season? Eli Stone did. You mentioned possible brain damage. Well, on top of that add him trying to woo Maggie away from her fiance and the moral sturggle that will come along with it. Second, because networks are so fickle, can I live with what happened in the season finale as if it were the last episode that will ever air. I can safely say yes. It was so different from anything else on television. Name another show in ABC's current lineup that could go out on such a high note with a coma fantasy story line!
