Seriously, how is the blatant theft of a Valentino forgiven but not a couple mistakes in one's personal life? At least Blair didn't break any laws! This week's business aside though, Blair just fits into her natural place into society, and doesn't try to be something she's not. She plays dirty when she has good reason to. Jenny's rotten for no good reason, and given where she comes from, the kid should know better!

Ah yes, but Blair took it to Jenny's father, a move I doubt Jenny would have had the stones or the catiness to do. Jenny might have stolen some expensive stuff for no good reason, but Blair insulted who she was and where she came from and used that as a power play against her.

My apologies for taking forever to respond. Been far too busy and then my internet wasn't working. Lame, I know.
It's not that Jenny wouldn't have the stones or cattiness to go to Blair's parents about something, it's that she's too much of a rookie to think of such a bold move. Jenny insults her roots on her own more than Blair does, with consistently trying to rise up in social circles while hiding her home from her so-called friends.
Blair at least shows mercy, with her willingness to forgo exposing Asher to protect Eric. Jenny, on the other hand, pretended to be shocked that Blair didn't consider her a friend and channeled her angst into telling Nate Blair's secrets before she could do so herself.

The only family Blair would have ever shown mercy to was Serena's. In every other respect, she has been absolutely cold-hearted, especially with her so-called friends. Let's not forget that, for no good reason, she decided to take down poor Gilmore Girls' alum Kieko Agena. And then, without Kieko even being aware of what was happening, her boyfriend was gone, her GPA was crap, her PSAT studying time was gone and her calculator was without batteries...all without her even suspecting Blair might be up to something.
And let's not forget that, after Blair revealed the incriminating text messages at the party, little Jenny broke like a ten-dollar impersonation purse bought from a trash bag in Times Square and declared that she could no longer compete.
So basically, from the horse's mouth, she admitted she wasn't in Blair's league.

This one is tough. I was happy to see Blair return to full **** form. I think that being a **** is true to who B is and how she was raised. Jenny, however, I think feels guilty about doing **** things, as she was raised in a much more down to earth family. I think she does those things to try to get ahead at her school and be popular. So the real question is, is it worse to be a **** because that is your nature, or because you are trying to fit in. I believe they are both capable of doing really horrible things, and I am sure that we have not seen the end of them. Right now I think the biggest **** are the "friends" who are playing J and B off each other. What would happen in J and B paired up against them, not that would be fun!

I would like to see them team up as well. I'm more annoyed by them than Blair or Jenny. But I do agree though that Jenny should know better.

In the world that is the Upper East Side all of this is very normal. Truth be told neither Jenny or Blair are really truly ****. They both are trying to survive in their world. Blair learned these survival instincts from her mother and Jenny really learned from Blair. The real question is who is smarter? Hands down Blair. Jenny is impulsive with her moves and they often reek of desperation. Blair on the other hand is cunning and calculated. Eventually Jenny will have to pair up with Blair or lose.

honey, Valerie Malone (90210) makes both these girls look like saints.

So true about Val--I love her for it!

i almost voted against jenny because you make a good point, but then i remembered early season blair. for instance, her stunt in front of all the college reps to hurt serena. blair has better reason for being like she is---and may be the lesser of two evils at the current state, but she is worse overall nonetheless.
ABCSOAPS55 05/03/08
btw who are blair and jenny? are these characters on Gossip Girl or Degrassi or something?
Rose Tyler 05/04/08
Gossip Girl. Tune in tomorrow night at 8. You'll be hooked.
ABCSOAPS55 05/05/08
is it a show you can watch w/out having seen all the episodes?
Rose Tyler 05/05/08
Well, it's only the first season so you haven't missed too much. Might I suggest that before tonight you go to wikipedia and read about the first few episodes. It also has a list of characters. If you like soaps you'll like this show. If you need any more info I'm more then happy to help.

Oh and for a great rundown of characters and their hot style I see that EW has a Gossip Girl Photo Gallery up this morning.

But Blair Warner is the biggest **** of all.
30RockRocks 05/28/08
Blair Warner? PLEASE.
B may not have ascended the the Val stratosphere yet and I hope she doesn't. Val was simply nasty and had no heart. I sympathize with B especially after the finale. As for Little J....the jury's out. But I can totally see her turning into a strung-out-you-know-what before it's all said and done.
