Great show, but I'd rank it #3 in terms of comedy shows alone (behind 30 and The Office, naturally) and Lost and Battlestar Galactica are superior as well.

I'd almost make it further back, behind How I Met Your Mother and even Curb Your Enthusiasm, at least in terms of comedies...no way no shape no how the best show on television!

Did I mention that Danny DeVito is immensely terrifying as well?? No, well he is.

When it's on, it really is the best thing on TV. The only problem is it's not on (not even in reruns) right now.

Well it's a very funny show yes, i love it in fact, but i wouldnt' say best show on tv. it's not even the best comedy on tv--not when shows like The New Adventures Of Old Christine, How I Met Your Mother, Scrubs, Samantha Who and The Office are all leaps years ahead of IASIP

Really? Sorry, I think you're alone on this one! Danny Divito isn't enough to make the show a sucess. I tried to give it a chance. I found it BORING & not funny AT ALL! I'm not sure who's sense of humor they're trying to reach, but not me!

How can you say nothing compares to it?

It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia is sooooooooo NOT the best show on television right now! LOST is the ONLY show worthy of that title right now! I mean come on!

In a medium which features fantastic stories like LOST, The Office, and House M.D. every week - on network tv for free no less, not pay cable like Sunny - to say Sunny is THE BEST is quite frankly just an insult.

I mean it's ok...it's kind of funny...sort of...I guess...I mean it has it's moments, but it is NO quality comedy, like the hilarious The Office! It is not even as good as shows like My Name Is Earl or Reno 911! and both of those shows suck too.

If I am going to watch the F/X channel for quality shows, it won't be for It's Always Sunny, that's for sure! I will just wait until fall for The Shield's final season to air or I will wait until next spring/summer for Rescue Me season 5.

To be fair though, it's not just Sunny that sucks, but ALL of F/X's current crop of "HITS" (Damages, The Riches, Dirt, Sunny) that fall short of it's groundbreaking originals (The Shield, Rescue Me, and EVEN Nip/Tuck!)

F/X should tread lightly from here on out or they could EASILY become the next HBO...a network once at the top of it's game with hit after hit (The Sopranos, The Wire, Sex & The City, Entourage, etc.) and then suddenly a network with NOTHING worthy of watching at all! (John Adams, John From Cinncinati, Tell Me You Love Me, In Treatment, Big Love, etc.)...

So, yeah, Sunny is NOT the best...at all! LOL!
