I think Barney and Robin will be a better couple on "How I Met Your Mother" than Ted and Robin.

I know- they've only kissed (and whatever else happened that night- we'll find out Monday). But I've thought that Barney and Robin have had crazy chemistry since season 1 when they hit the town for lazer tag, cigars, and battleship. These two are a perfect match- neither are crazy about commitment, neither want to be tied down, they have a similar sense of humor- I think this relationship is really going to bring an interesting dynamic to the show- kind of like a little more twisted Monica and Chandler, part deux.
I could never really root for Ted and Robin because a) they wanted different things from the start and b) you know he's not going to end up with her, because we knew in episode 1 she's "Aunt Robin" to his kids.
I'm really excited that this show finally acted on Cobie Smulders and Neil Patrick Harris' killer chemistry, and can't wait to see where it goes from here.

Hopefully sleeping with someone does mean she likes him "in that way!" But while I was disappointed with the way the show handled the Barney/Robin hookup, I still think there's potential for these two characters down the road. I really don't think Barney would cheat on Robin- we've never actually seen him cheat on someone either, because we've never seen him in an actual relationship!
I just think Barney's character (while being my favorite part of the show) could stand for a little more character development, because episodes that progress or flesh out his character (i.e. Game Night) are always my favorite. Putting him in a real relationship would definitely be a way to take the character farther, and would maybe bring some more depth and heart to the sometimes unsympathetic Robin.

It is clear from watching all the seasons, there is some chemistry between them. However, it is hard to imagine Barney in a real relationship (not what he thought was one when Lily lived with him). Even though the connection is there, but because there similarities include not wanting to be tied down and a lack of commitment, I don't think they would really work as well as a couple as Robin and Ted.

I think that Barney and Robin would make and do make an awesome couple. I've never been convinced that Robin is the mother---i've always thought that Barney and Robin end up together. I think that Sarah Chalke's Stella ends up being the mother.

Oh come on! Robin only slept with Barney coz she was vulnerable after being dumped by James van der Beeks' character. No way would she do that in her right mind. No woman would! If the writers would persist in this storyline, it would be downright predictable: Barney falls for Robin, Robin breaks Barney's heart and the effect of this on New York City's single girl population would be LEGEN....(wait for it)...DARY!
By the way, Stella is NOT the mother. Ted doesn't seem man enough to handle a girl who looks like she could eat him alive.
