Fringe shows the *illusion* of movement better. Marie Osmond used to twist her butt a quarter of an inch -- and if fringe had been carefully arranged on that butt, this non-effort could be considered a "nice move." No. Total cop-out.

You are seriously underestimating viewers??? and the definition on their televisions. We can tell the difference between a Marie twist and an Edyta twist. If the person is moving slowly (hello, Marie, I can't believe you're getting a talk show in fall 2009?!), the fringe actually calls attention to it MORE. There's nothing sadder than a floppy fringe, Annie.

Thank you for mentioning my favorite pro Edyta. Bottom line is that you're more badass if you go with sequins because they can't hide as much. I will say that my absolute favorite DWTS costuming atrocities are those not-at-all-rare instances of SEQUINED FRINGE, which are fun for the whole family and especially grandpa. But for the sake of throwing it down, I stand by sequins. Shine on you crazy disco ball.
