Very much in agreement with your take on the show. It's been weird to hear Randy debase Jason week after week. What could he do to get some love from that guy? Apparently nothing. Even Ryan seems to have a slight aversion to him. Face it, the different tend to create discomfort for the norm and that's what Idol is all about. So that was Jason's true falling -- the fact that he was unconventional, quirky -- and God love him -- completely at ease with himself. That is definitely something we don't see in the others, not even Cook. I applaud him for "keepin it real dawg" and not selling out to the machine as the weeks went on. Finally, I suspect he was raised well since he's one of the few contestants that was consistently well-mannered and gracious in the face of strong criticism.
